The handle has a similar contour and the rod resembles the strong, hollow stems that have been used for centuries to make baskets. As a practical addition, the wooden handles have a built-in magnet that holds the set securely to the stand when not in use and makes the fireplace set a decorative item in your living room. The shovel, broom and poker of the fireplace set appear to float on the crossbar of the matt powder-coated holder. The tongs are simply placed on top.
