Wooden Dining Chair CH23 with Woven Seat

The CH23 wooden chair was one of the first chairs that Hans J. Wegner designed exclusively for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1950. The furniture he created at that time was not only one of a kind, but also set new standards for modern furniture design with its artistic expression and ergonomic shape. Although the CH23 wooden chair may seem uncomplicated at first glance, it is full of fine, refined details, including the elegant cross-shaped caps on the backrest, the double-woven seat and the curved rear legs, which ensure optimum stability. In 2017, Carl Hansen & Søn reintroduced the CH23 and thus made Wegner's first masterpieces part of the collection again. Made in Denmark
