Designed by Jaume Ramírez in 2023. Fascinated by timeless design, the designer Jaume Ramírez is interested in the archetypal table lamp, where a lampshade distributes the light in all directions. This is the starting point from which he reflects and experiments to propose a new glass design with slimmer shapes. The Fragile lamp is a mixture of geometric shapes. A cone and a sphere are arranged to hold a cylinder that emits ambient light from below. In its shape, we find remts of the past; in its material, we find emotion. The glass reveals not only the light source, but also speaks of purity, lightness and how this design fits seamlessly into its environment. Its structure seems to stand effortlessly, a very serious achievement where everything is open to view. The cylinder shields its warm, diffuse and gradual light. Fragile combines past and present. It is reminiscent of past hallmarks such as oil lamps that also shine from the bottom up, or candles; however, its designer uses the language of glass to express the fragility of the present moment. That's why this new design is intended as a tribute to the table lamp. A lamp with a long history that surprises us again with the delicacy of its shapes through the application of a material like glass. The light source is included and permanently installed. It emits warm white light with low brightness. The lamp has a switch on the cable with which it can be switched on and off and dimmed. Made in Spain
