In 1987, Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina designed the Tolomeo lamp for Artemide, which has established itself as a worldwide design classic and enjoys absolute cult status. Several model lines and numerous special models offer a wide range of choices for every taste and for a wide variety of spatial requirements. The quality and design have remained unchanged - as a sign of Artemide's appreciation for a shape that enjoys one of a kind popularity. The adjustable arms with spring balance system and the adjustable lamp head are typical of the Tolomeo lamp family. The Tolomeo Basculante is characterised by the elegant lampshade made of parchment paper, which gives the reading lamp a particularly homely character. The lamp has a toggle switch on the cable with which it can be switched on and off. Made in Italy
