Designed by Mathias Hahn in 2016, the Greek goddess Theia - the mother of the sun, moon and dawn - lends her name to this lamp, which is designed to express the beauty of light and the fascination we feel for it. Theia's materials and shapes are merely the physical manifestation of the underlying concept: to combine light and shadow in a single piece. Theia has two faces: to discover them, simply turn the lamp around its central axis. It can be oriented towards you and used as a reading lamp or directed at an object or wall, creating a subtle, indirect light that immediately warms the atmosphere. Since Theia's metal shade is completely opaque, this rotation completely changes the perception of the piece. The formal design of Theia is elemental and slender: two hemispheres, one placed horizontally and the other vertically, overlap. Just like in nature itself, these formal elements allow the light to be projected, reflected and absorbed by objects from a single source, creating visual pleasure. The light source is included and permanently installed. It emits warm white light with high brightness. The lamp has a switch on the cable with which it can be switched on and off and dimmed.
