Designed by Robert Dudley Best in 1930, the BL7 wall lamp celebrates elegant and clean lines with clear reference to the period of Bauhaus. With its contemporary look in various finishes and movable shade, the BL7 wall lamp is optimal for the hallway, as a bedside lamp or above the kitchen counter. Let it stand for itself or combine it in pairs to create an expressive source of illumination. The lamp design was first adopted by garages and the Royal Air Force engineering departments due to its great functionality. A feature in Architects Journal lauding Bestlite with the title of the first evidence of Bauhaus in Britain brought the lamp to the attention of the design conscious. The cable with plug makes it easy to connect the wall lamp to a standard socket, eliminating the need for in-wall wiring. The wall lamp has a toggle switch on the cable, to switch it on and off.
